About Sarah
Expertise in eating, drinking and swallowing built over decades of care
I’m a Consultant Speech and Language Therapist, Clinical Specialist in dysphagia, with over 25 years’ experience supporting babies, children and young people with eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties - sometimes known as Paediatric Dysphagia or Paediatric Feeding Disorder PFD.
My clinical work spans the both NHS and private practice, including hospitals, community services, specialist schools, and highly specialist settings such as Special Care Baby Units (SCBU) and Children’s Palliative Care. I currently serve as Clinical Lead for Children’s Eating, Drinking and Swallowing in my NHS Trust where I lead a skilled team of experienced Therapists.
Care for Children and their Families
Calm evidence based care for babies and children 0-19yrs
Feeding and swallowing challenges can can place enormous strain on everyday life - emotionally, practically and relationally. As a Clinical Specialist, I provide clear assessment, tailored advice and compassionate care for children and families navigating complex feeding difficulties.
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Speech and Language Pathology and Therapeutics and am an Advanced Practitioner in Paediatric Dysphagia. My approach is grounded in evidence and shaped by years of experience, always focusing on safe practice and sustainable progress.
Alongside clinical care, I am also Certified as both a Hypnotherapist and IEMT Practitioner. These approaches allow me to offer gentle support for parents to process difficult feelings, reduce stress and regain confidence when mealtimes feel overwhelming.
My role is to bring clarity, reassurance and practical guidance - so families feel informed, supported and empowered throughout their child’s feeding journey.
Supervision for SLTs
I provide clinical supervision and training for Speech and Language Therapists working with children.
As a Clinical Specialist, NHS Clinical Lead and post grad Lecturer, I support SLTs to deliver effective, evidence-based care in complex feeding cases - with a strong focus on safe practice, professional growth, and reflective learning.
Whether you’re a parent seeking guidance, or a fellow professional looking for supervision or to deepen your clinical skills, you’re in the right place.
